DrywallWhen your house gets gutted after Christmas, you file building permits after New Year, and you still consider yourself 'lucky'. Well then, I guess a film about drywall can be something of a celebration.
Katrina taught us everything about community, brotherhood, friendship and faith. Community gutted the house, brotherhood said 'baby steps', and friendship was 'sweet and patient' carpenter. This is a film of Cindy walking through 225 Bay Oaks with drywall installed. I tracked it with Steve Forbert's, 'I Married a Girl', who may be the only poet on earth who has rhymed 'green marinas' to 'vacuum cleaners.' |
