Tell Me A Story

Tell Me  A Story
© 2005 Fortenberry/Tyler

Well it's good to see you how have you been?
The door is open, won't you come in
I'm looking forward to talking to you
And hearing the truth, cause that's what you do

Tell me a story, sing me a song
Take me away to where I belong
Don't need to worry , about being wrong
Tell me a story, sing me a song.

Well we try so hard just to be okay
To still be standing at the end of the day
But sometimes a storm comes and
Blows it away, and let's us know
It's just the price that we pay
(repeat chorus)

Well the sun's going down at the end of the day
Tomorrow is coming so 'good bye my friend'
Before I leave let's sit for awhile
And hear a few words that bring on a smile

Tell me a story, sing me a song
Take me away to where I belong
Don't need to worry , about being wrong
Tell me a story, sing me a song.
